Established in 1987, as a 501 (c)(3) organization, the Ohio Literacy Network (OLN) is an association of organizations and individuals dedicated to helping adults achieve the basic literacy skills needed to function effectively in today’s society. OLN’s membership is composed of local organizations providing adult literacy services; professionals from education, business and government; literacy volunteers and adult learners; and other concerned citizens. OLN's mission is to:
      • Promote public awareness of adult literacy issues and needs,
      • Function as an advocate for adult learners and organizations,
      • Serve as a clearinghouse for exchange of literacy information, and
      • Encourage collaborative literacy efforts to maximize the impact of public and private funds available to address literacy needs.
