  • Literacy Ohio, a program of The Ohio Literacy Network, was established in 1987 as a 501(C) (3) organization to promote awareness of adult literacy issues and needs; to serve as a clearinghouse for the exchange of literacy information; and to encourage collaborative literacy efforts to maximize the impact of public and private funds available to address literacy needs and to function as an advocate agency for adult learners and organizations.

Literacy Ohio is a membership organization governed by a Board of Directors composed of literacy and adult education program personnel, business representatives, adult learners and government agency representatives. Funding for the Network comes from public and private government grants, donations and membership dues.

Our Mission: Literacy Ohio is committed to building Ohio’s workforce by strengthening adult and family literacy education.
