Literacy Ohio is an association of organizations and individuals dedicated to adult and family literacy. We connect adult learners to the educational resources they need to succeed at work and home; through community building, collaboration and resource coordination. Our collaboration partners include literacy programs, corporations, foundations and social service agencies; that share our commitment to building Ohios workforce by strengthening adult and family literacy education. Our collaboration projects include: A 24/7 Learn Line which serves as a one-stop referral and information service for Ohio adults seeking educational programs and resources. Development and distribution of literacy information which provides adult learners access to FREE: Basic Literacy Skills and GED preparation classes in their local area, details on learning resources on TV, the internet or at local libraries and community computer labs. Statewide distribution, broadcast and promotion of the GED Connection learning system. Coordination of marketing/media campaigns and social service partnerships, which increase awareness and use of local literacy programs and 24/7 learning resources. Development and promotion of online learning sites which provide FREE 24/7 learning resources, so busy adult learners can study anytime, anywhere.
